So
what's new at
Graduate Fashion Week?
11.06.2007
One of the most exciting elements of working
as part of the 4couture.com team is the thrill of discovering a new
designer that we can add to the mix...

Graduate Fashion Week is one of the events
that we visit every year in the search for something new and someone
special. Although it’s a fashion ‘week’ it only runs
for 4 days, starting on the Sunday and is open to both trade and public,
so if you’re in town and haven’t visited before, it’s
definitely worth a stop.

This year we started off over the road from
GFW and for inspiration we took a quick peek into Pulse, the homeware
& accessories show where we spotted some innovative designs from
the St Martin’s crew, but sadly they were more suited to decking
out our studio as opposed to our wardrobes! (always worth a look though)

En route from Pulse to GFW we spotted this
fabulous little pink number and we couldn’t resist stopping to
admire it.

It was only once we got up close that we
noticed the very cute diamante handcuffs hanging from the mirror, absolute
class!

So, finally onto GFW and what was on offer
this year – as usual, it was a wonderfully sunny day which meant
that it felt like 100 degrees inside the tents and was incredibly warm
and sweaty - many of the designers had in fact taken respite from the
heat and sat outside under the trees so overall, the atmosphere felt
fairly quiet.

Lots of gorgeous shoes on display which
made a nice change and we instantly fell in love with this glamorous
sun dress.
