Get it in the bag!

10.04.2007
Is it just us at 4couture.com or has anyone else
noticed just how funky laptop bags seem to have become of late? Gazing
out of the studio windows first thing in the morning and you can spot
an array of designer labels, funky fabrics and innovative designs going
to and from their respective offices. So, in our usual snap happy style,
we decided to zoom in on a few of our favourites.

So the first bag to catch our eye and yes, we admit it, it’s an
old school Gucci style number but we couldn’t help but give this
classic design a 10 out of 10! It’s a messenger bag so not suitable
for all types of laptop but this young lady was transporting a super
cute baby pink Vaio, a perfect pairing.

Before we’d had time to grab our first cuppa of the day another
super slick brand went whizzing by and we just had to grab it! This
is definitely a good choice for the professional, a Tumi laptop carrier
is a serious statement and although the designs are understated the
quality is instantly apparent. Loads of compartments for carrying those
all important gadgets and if you check out the website the choice within
the range is extensive. www.tumi.com

A mere 5 minutes following on from the Tumi sighting we spotted yet
another version of the Gucci classic but this time a more substantial
laptop / briefcase. This bag will comfortably accommodate a 15.4”
laptop as well as plenty of room for portfolio materials and your make
up bag and if you really want to splash out then there’s always
the matching luggage set.

"the Burton faux leather laptop
bag is a must for any serious creative / record producer / artist"

Now whilst we didn’t actually spot one of these on the streets
by the studio, we’re sure that the Burton faux leather laptop
bag is a must for any serious creative / record producer / artist –
it’s just got that look about it!

If you fancy pimping your laptop bag from the comfort of your own desk
then check out www.20ltd.com
and take a look at the Maharishi laptop sleeves, they’re limited
edition only 25 of each design and you can even get a matching pair
of shorts and a shirt (although we’re not quite sure about that
ourselves!)

Alternatively Crumpler is another contender with bags in a range of
funky unisex designs, from cute messenger styles right up to the Crumpler
Super boomer! www.crumpler.co.uk
(but be warned, the website is a little mad).
