Still stuck in the 80's?

Just how long can the revival of 80's fashion trends continue? We're not complaining, no, far from it as we just love any old excuse to back comb our hair! If next season's catwalk previews are anything to go by, it's a trend that's going to run and run.

Big baggy t-shirts, blue mascara, bright pink lip-gloss and Club Tropicana blaring from the cassette player, what do you remember of the eighties?!



Well, if you ask me I find it hard as a lot of stuff blurs into the 90’s (I was born in 1982) still, I remember Top of the Pops and the unforgettable ‘The Only Way is Up’ by Yaz. I also remember what my mum used to wear; skin-tight, stone washed, high waisted jeans, baggy tees and fluffy blonde permmed hair not forgetting her love of Blondie and Queen which I grew up also loving.

The 80’s are still a huge trend in fashion lately what with the revival of leggings, large high waisted belts, gold chain handled clutch bags and the classic Ray Ban Aviators which are everywhere right now.



So in true 80’s styli the girls and I ended up heading out to an 80’s night just down the road, fancy dress of course! Ra-ra skirts, back-combed hair, stilettos and even a random rubics cube made an appearance, truly genius!

It’s hard to tell whether we had been transported back in time or not but we had a right giggle as you’ll see from the pictorial evidence!
