Who would have thought that Senspa, tucked away in the middle of the New Forest, is where 4couture.com would find heaven on earth?

For all you deserving women of the world, this is a must visit as soon as is physically or more importantly mentally possible! I really can’t rave about it enough - this was my first spa experience and I think I’ve found a true haven of relaxation, which is at the same time rejuvenating and revitalising.

To celebrate the end of an exhausting but exhilarating year, the 4couture.com ladies took a team trip to the spa. (not being the paint ball fighting types, although I hear that’s great stress busting stuff too!) After the Thai massage you may feel you’ve been paint balling or 10 rounds with Mike Tyson depending on how tough you’re built – don’t be fooled by the tiny demeanour of the Thai masseurs, after an hour under what looked like their tiny, couldn’t squash a fly fingers, I was sure they could hold their own with any heavy weight.

The luxury of the spa is you can choose what you do and how you spend your time – if you’re an experienced spa goer then you might find Senspa a little smaller than expected but what they do have on offer, is done to exacting standards.

There are a variety of packages designed to meet everyone’s needs, from going with a group of work colleagues to having a romantic totally indulgent afternoon with your partner, who I have to say is now a complete convert having taken me for my second visit and just booked our third for this years Valentines day, what more of a recommendation do you need? (there are plenty of treatments designed specifically for the menfolk).

Whichever package you decide upon you get to spend the day enjoying the deluxe hydrotherapy relaxation zone comprising of a range of thermal rooms, pools and sensational cooling health showers. Beware the thunderstorm and bucket of ice room, not for the faint hearted but a great laugh, you have to do it once just to say you have!

Following on from the pools you can join in the mind and body class in the Thai Temple studio which is where we were promised eternal youth if we practiced ‘spinning’ every day.

So, having had your hour long massage to totally relax those muscles you had forgotten you had, fallen asleep in the thermal rooms and revitalised in the cooling shower (and when I say cool I mean FREEZING!) and finally gained a few years of your youth back in the Magical Thai Temple (still sceptical) a two course lunch awaits you in the tranquil garden restaurant, all done in the theme of the day, complete laziness dressed in your robe.

Oh!! And if you’re feeling super rich during your visit we can also recommend the ‘to die for’ smoothies - they were yummy, but at £4.95 each way too pricey (our only real criticism) served by the side of the pool while you do nothing but perhaps if you are feeling energetic reading of course this months VOGUE.
