Behind the scenes at 4couture.com

4couture.com was born in 2003 and was (as the name suggests) intended to launch as a pure online retailer. However, as often happens in the early days of a business start up, our path seems to have taken a few unexpected turns.

Our initial aspiration was to open a boutique, primarily aimed at business woman where they could enjoy an online shopping experience from the comfort of the office. The boutique would showcase some of the best in emerging British talent, whilst offering exclusive limited edition pieces.

Today, this original goal is still very close to our hearts but since day one we’ve been blessed with constant demand through word of mouth and recommendations which has meant that most of our work doesn’t hang around long enough to actually get onto the website - it’s a nice problem to have!

Our team comprises of a group of talented, passionate and dedicated individuals, who have a wealth of experience in fashion, textiles, styling and the web; in fact, at 4couture.com we’re internet junkies.

We’re constantly discovering and supporting new talent in the fashion and textile arena and our portfolio includes numerous private commissions, magazine and television shoots, catwalk styling, visual merchandising and styling for corporate clients.

We haven’t lost sight of our original aim and during this coming year, we’re looking to launch a select collection of work for purchase online.
